Fruited Brown Betty

Liberty Tree Tavern - Liberty Square, Magic Kingdom

This recipe was fairly simple even though it doesn't look like it when you read the book. Ingredients? Butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, pound cake crumbs (I made mine but you could buy one), lemon juice, and apple or cherry pie filling. I used cherry. If I made it again I would use apple. I think it would have gotten one more mickey with apple. The vanilla sauce for the top was good too, but tasted a bit to eggy for me.

Cucumbers Dill

Contemporary Resort Banquets - Contemporary Resort

For an appetizer, it was kind of bland. The dip needed something...maybe some sweetness. It was easy - mayonnaise, fresh dill, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. I wouldn't take it to a party.
Sorry dill dippy, you were dippy. 2 mickeys.

Coq Au Vin

Memphis Class - The Disney Inn

I can't find any background information this restauraunt, but you can look at past posts to learn about The Disney Inn, or check out walt Dated World.

This is a fairly complicated recipe since you have to make the sauce, strain it, and remake it in a sense. Everything gets re-baked and finally served on rice. It seemed like the onions over-powered the rest of the flavor when you ate one. Nothing amazing, but better than average.

Coconut Hot Dog

Barefoot Snack Bar - Polynesian Village Resort

If you want a new spin on hot dogs, try this out! The down side? Deep fried. Not only is it greasy, but guilty :)
The batter contains beer which adds to the flavor. I used turkey dogs for me and it worked out great.
4 mickeys!

Breakfast Potatoes

Town Square Cafe, Main Street U.S.A. Magic Kingdom

A simple, easy, and fast recipe. Honestly, it's nothing amazing...it's your basic home fries. Still good though. Just potatoes, onions, butter, paprika, salt and pepper.

Scotch Eggs

Rose & Crown Pub & Dining room - EPCOT

While not the greatest picture, I had to show you the middle of the egg. It's basically a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage, breaded, and deep fried. AKA, a heat attack on a plate. And was it good! I'm not big on regular sausage, so if I were to do it again I would use turkey sausage. The white sauce over the top was very good. 4 mickeys!

Shrimp Taiwan

Papeete Bay Verandah - Polynesian Village Resort

I was amazed how fast this recipe was! Often when you cook "Disney" you need 1-2 hours, m
aybe even more, but this was super fast, as in 15 minutes fast! Greg liked it. I ate one bite of shrimp to say I tried it, and then I picked the shrimp out. I have to confess that I made tilapia also so I would have something sort of protein for the evening. It was good, but nothing spectacular. 3 mickeys.
